Luxurious serum but uncertainty with effectiveness

Overall I would say this feels very luxurious. The packaging is designed really well and the bottle works well at dispensing the serum. I was not a fan of the scent but it does go away. The serum felt very hydrating and applied to my skin effectively because of it. Not sure if I can see major differences but my skin has felt softer. Undecided if continually using will give me the results I am looking for

Lux and effective.

I am in my mid 40 with melanated and textured skin. I am a big believer in Retinols and have used many brands with various success. So when I was given the opportunity to try Augustinus Badger’s The Retinol Serum in exchange for an honest review, I was happy to try. First, I love the formulation of this the serum. It’s similar to a gel cream so it’s not too heavy and works well under make up. It doesn’t make my skin teel right nor did it sting. I have used this product for two weeks and seeing slight improvement in terms of pigmentation which is my biggest issue… but my skin seems to have a bit more clarity and smoothness. I am encouraged to see more as I finish the bottle in a few months. This is a luxury product so the price matches that. I like La Mer’s Serum for Times I don’t want to use retinol and The Serum is actually cheaper! The only thing I would change is the packaging. It come with a stand that just does release and sometimes ends up dancing around the counter. Otherwise the overall package is beautiful and if you want, you can remove the pump carriage inside. Still if you enjoy Luxury skincare and are looking for a potent product that works well with your routine, I do recommend.

Great anti-aging serum

I love the look of the bottle which makes it look very high end. After using this for a week I notice that my skin looked brighter and feels softer. My fine lines aren’t as noticeable. The cream goes in beautifully and absorbs quickly. It also doesn’t have a strong scent to it

Can’t try myself, sister loves it

I was very excited to get this product, but it took months arrive. By the time it arrived, I was pregnant and cannot use it. Lucky for my sister, I gave it to her and she loves it.

Expensive, but worth it

For starters, the bottle is pretty and it comes with a little stand. I love the blue and gold combo. My skin feels and looks smoother since I started using it, taking away those fine wrinkles. I apply 1 pump at night after washing my face, so a little goes a long way. It also doesn’t have a strong scent to it which is nice.

Wow!!!

I recently tried Augustinus Bader's The Retinol Serum with TFC8, and I have to say I'm thoroughly impressed! The lightweight texture absorbs quickly, leaving my skin feeling soft and hydrated without any greasy residue. After a few weeks of consistent use, I've noticed a significant improvement in my complexion; my fine lines appear less prominent, and my skin tone looks more even and radiant. The incorporation of TFC8 really sets this serum apart, as it feels like I'm giving my skin a nourishing treatment while also addressing signs of aging. While it comes with a higher price tag, the results are absolutely worth it, and I appreciate the clean formulation. It works so good. I noticeably see improvement in my fine lines. This serum has officially earned a permanent spot in my skincare routine!

Definite improvement of my skin

I love the feeling of this product on my skin. It has started to improve the texture of my skin. It feels softer and smoother. I don’t think 2 weeks is enough time to really see a difference but the feeling of it has definitely improved. A definite side effect is that I rub the rest into my hands and my hands are also softer. I am excited to continue using this product. I did check it on Yuka and it has safe ingredients. Definite plus.

Mixed

I’ve been using Augustinus Bader’s The Retinol Serum for about a month now, and while the bottle and packaging are stunning, I’m a bit mixed on the results. It has definitely made my skin feel smoother, and it’s helped a bit with hydration and small imperfections. But for the high price, I guess I was expecting something a little more transformative. It’s a nice product overall, but I’m not entirely sure it’s worth the splurge unless you’re really into luxury skincare.
